If you're already in the area, you should definitely come here. An idyllic spot not far from civilization. Wagenmoosweiher is an artificially created lake in the Meggerwald forest, within the municipality of Udligenswil in the canton of Lucerne. It's located in a forest clearing at an altitude of 597 meters above sea level. The lake is surrounded by reeds. On the western shore of Wagenmoosweiher, you'll find a lovely picnic area with a barbecue and a water fountain.

If you haven't had enough of hiking, you can do some exercise in between.

The pond lies in the heart of the Lower Forest nature reserve, surrounded by various fens. A fen in a nature reserve is a damp, often boggy area, usually found in river valleys, near lakes, or in depressions. It is a special habitat characterized by high biodiversity and sensitive ecological conditions. The vegetation often consists of reeds, sedges, rushes, rushes, and other wet meadow plants. It provides a habitat for many endangered animal and plant species.

From the Rotstock you have a great view of the main peak of the Rigi. If this is your goal, you go down a little further via the Rigi Staffel before the final climb begins.
