The ride up on the cable car and the view from the plateau across to the Chasseral and down to St. Imier is beautiful.

In the truest sense of the word...whether on foot or by bike, you're initially on a plateau through typical Jura pastures, accompanied by mighty, freestanding trees. The scenery changes abruptly as you set off (only on foot!) on the short hike to the viewpoint around La Corne. What a magnificent view of the nearby Jura range, France, the valleys, and of course the Combe Grède with its mighty rock face opposite. A small rest area away from the dangerous areas (the rest is secured, and the viewpoint is protected by a massive metal railing) invites you to linger...a truly wonderful spot. You can also spot ibex from there. Then, the path continues around L'Egasse down to the valley cirque around Pré aux Auges. The path, which is sometimes narrow, leads almost halfway through a scree cone, a testament to the rocks regularly thundering down...so don't linger there too long! ``` Overall, the route can be easily completed on foot or by bike from late spring (snow/ice) to late autumn. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combe_Gr%C3%A8de https://www.j3l.ch/de/V1594/erlebnisse/sport-freizeit/wandern/naturschutzgebiet-combe-grede https://www.j3l.ch/de/P48381/planung/la-corne

Superb path through the wild gorge to reach the summit of Chasseral. There are some technical passages, with three ladders to climb. The path can be very slippery in rainy weather.

At an altitude of 1,280 m, the Mont-Soleil resort offers you magnificent views of the Chasseral and the Combe Grède. The Monts trail between Mont Soleil and Mont Crosin allows you to enjoy panoramas of the Jura massif, as well as the possibility of visiting the solar power plant and the wind turbine park. The funicular, built in 1903, connects St Imier and Mont-Soleil.

Creux-Seupi is a cave entrance located in the Chasseral Natural Park in Switzerland. It is a popular destination for hikers who want to explore the underground wonders of the region. It is a karst cave formed by the dissolution of limestone by water over millions of years. It has a depth of approximately 100 meters and a length of approximately 500 meters. The cave is home to various species of bats, such as the greater horseshoe bat, lesser horseshoe bat, and common pipistrelle. The cave is also rich in speleothems, mineral deposits that develop in caves, such as stalactites, stalagmites and flowstones. Creux-Seupi is a fascinating place to discover the hidden beauty and diversity of nature.

If you are looking for a great adventure in the heart of the Jura, you should visit the Creux de Glace, a natural hole that hosts a small glacier all year round. The bottom of the hole is approximately 40 meters deep and 30 meters wide. The walls bear historical inscriptions left by the Anabaptists who exploited iron ore there in the 16th century. The Creux de Glace was also used as a natural refrigerator by local farmers until the mid-20th century.

On the north side of the Chasseral, you usually just drive past this gem. It's worth taking the few steps. Not just because of the view, but also because of the flora and fauna, depending on the time of year, of course. There are also some bizarre trees and rock formations to marvel at. The walk takes 10 minutes - depending on your fitness and taking photos - and is easy to manage. After the bridge/tank barrier, go up the fence on the left, the footpath does not continue (Caution: Do not go any further here - keep children and dogs under control - shortly after the end of the path you will be standing directly above a rock face)!
