This trail is actually the continuation of the "flowy single trail" and runs more or less on the ridge of the Bärenboden, finally a little steeper down to the road. S1, often roots. Flowy, nice to drive. The continuation down to Zell then either on the meadow path, later on the road or on the "zigzag hiking trail" (steep stairs, picturesque with wooden figures, but not suitable for bikes, almost always had to carry).

Super observation tower on Lake Zurich and the Alps

Three almost parallel paths. From above (eastern starting point) this trail, marked with S2 on the komoot map, is the longest and in the lower part the most difficult (very steep here). Next to it from the same point are two completely parallel, shorter paths, the left one from above (= middle of the three) a veritable root trail (S1 to S2), on the far right is the hiking trail.

That it's more S2 to S3 is more true than the S1 designation from komoot 🤔

Incredibly great panoramic view of Lake Zurich/Obersee. Every effort that this small but beautiful mountain requires is worth it! What is also great is that the Bachtel can be reached via various routes. Even though the view from the mountain is already great, the observation tower should definitely be climbed. A head for heights is an advantage. However, since you can't see the ground below because of the steps and the plateaus, it is also relatively suitable for those who are not afraid of heights (I can report this from my husband's experience) When I'm in the area again, I'll hike up the Bachtel again using a different route.

Ride only when dry. Very narrow, rooty and steep. Not for beginners.
