From the starting point, it's mostly paved until you actually start the MTB trail. The blue MTB trail halfway up (blue) is quite enjoyable, but it has some challenging climbs! We couldn't get back to the starting point through the meadow because the gate was closed/locked. And the last part of the MTB trail is very challenging/steep and more like a "red" category. We rode it at the end of October, with lots of leaves and rain in the days before, so it was really slippery and slippery in some sections.

If you're looking for a great MTB spot in Denmark, the Sønderskoven trail area in Vejle is worth checking out. The trails offer a mix of flowy sections, technical climbs, and playful descents — perfect for intermediate riders seeking a bit of variety. The forested setting creates a scenic backdrop, making your ride even more enjoyable. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and be mindful of hikers, as the area is shared. For the best experience, visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the trails are quieter.

There is a steep descent with steps. Came unexpectedly to me. Result: 4 stitches in my shin. So that it says suitable for all levels is not quite correct. But otherwise a beautiful and fun route

The Gyttegård plantation is very large and extensive, consists of forest and heathland. It's a golf course and important to us is a MTB parecour available. The course includes various routes. Green: Quite easy and probably also suitable for trekking bikes Blue: For beginners and advanced mountain bikers Rot & Schwaz: For the professionals The blue, red, and black tracks go from the green Main route, everyone can freely choose their degree of difficulty choose. Long flowing trails with kickers, drops, etc. It's really fun and an absolute MUST DRIVE when you're here.
