Beautiful walk with some fantastic views

Very beautiful and natural hiking trail.

Thesulphurous springs arelocated on the banks of the riverSetrachos, next to the Venetianbridge. The healing properties ofthe waters have been known sinceantiquity. The whole area was partof the ancient kingdom of Solis,whose kings used the area as awellness resort, combining it withtheir hunting trips. It is said that atemple dedicated to Asclepius,the ancient Greek god of healing,was located in the same spotwhere the Monastery of JohnLampadistis stands today. Thewaters of the spa have been usedthroughout the centuries to thisday for their healing properties.

Very special atmosphere up there, cool, fresh and fragrant. If you're interested in geocaching, you'll find a nice series on a circular route here.

This rocky island off the coast of Yeşilırmak/Limnatis is a real insider tip. It is one of the few islands off Cyprus and, in my opinion, the most impressive, alongside the well-known Aphrodite Rock. Hundreds of seagulls circle around the approximately 100 by 100 meter rock. The landscape near the border between North and South Cyprus is very remote and impressive. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of rubbish to be found here - please only leave footprints!

Spectacular lake that has filled the excavations of the abandoned copper mine, where rainwater, reacting with the remains of the metal, takes on warm shades from dark red to yellow. It is accessed via a dirt road of medium-low difficulty, quite bumpy but doable.

Intermediate only by length. Beautiful views on clear days. Even better when the mountain has snow!
