In Curragh Woods you can still believe in magic, the forest is so dense and so green. The smaller paths are especially worth exploring, but be careful! Mountain bikers also appreciate them

A dense forest welcome you to Ballhouras and the Seefin Mountains Park. With mixed terrain and various difficulty grades, Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails are the largest trail network in Ireland

This section is quite technical and part of the Duhallow Way but its very quiet and you will unlikely see any walkers. Its a mix between pushing/carrying the bike and cycling through the rough and the sleepers before the finish at the Wind turbing and the gravel road. Be careful cycling along the wooden sleepers as some are rotten. Its is possible to cycle this short section without falling and its good fun.

Castlepook Loop is the most demanding trail you can ride in the Ballyhoura Mountains. Steep climbs, narrow single trail downhills with rock steps, hairpin bends, exposed roots and elevated wood objects — you name it. Only for experienced mountain bike riders.

Now it becomes tricky. The Garrane Loop with white markings is the third of the trails in the Ballyhoura trail network and decidedly more challenging than the first two. Narrow, rocky single trails and great views await you.

This trail is part of the brown Mountrussell Loop of the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails. It's the first longer descent on the loop. As the loops are all combinations, you will also ride this trail on the other loops, except the green one. The further you go, the more technical the trails become.

Although I didn't get up to the top of the trail this segment is best headed direction Brandon Bay from Annascaul Lake, fast flowing in some areas, natural trail, potential for catching some air too! Amazing views as the valley leads out to the bay which opens up in front of your eyes.
