It was beautiful, but you can see that on the way back towards the end the road changes very little due to the fact that there are some private property restrictions.

This hiking path is very beautiful but contains several pieces where climbing with hands and feet is necessary and is strongly overgrown by plants. We spotted 2 bears on this route!

Great place to start hiking. The top of the mountain Tâmpa is not far. There are beautiful paths through the forest which lead to Poiana Brașov and La Iepure. There are no water sources in this area, if you choose to get to the city from Șaua Tâmpei, visit Poiana Stechil to have a quick break. Then follow the blue cross. At the end of trail, few minutes before reaching a viewpoint, you will see a public fountain on the marked trail towards Șcheii in Brașov. The trail lasts 1 hour close to a half. Trails leading to Răcădău are 45 minutes to 1 hour with breaks. There are bears in the area, so be careful, it’s best to come in a group and don’t panic if you meet one.

There are plenty of views here because there is not so much forest in view. But it is also very touristy.

At this point you can see the breathtaking scenery of the Carpathians just before Bran Castle.

On the saddle just before the final climb to the Moldoveanu intersect 4 ways. From here you have a beautiful view in both directions: down into the valley and the wide plain below and on the other side in the cauldron with a small lake.

From here you have a great view of the Königstein mountains. Is also good as a picnic spot.
