The beautiful Baroque church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. GM, incomprehensibly, has once again refused to allow a name change.

Beautiful old bridge. Seating and a few restaurants right on the Amper River are nearby. Unfortunately, it's very busy, as the B2 motorway runs over it. There are other pedestrian bridges over the Amper just a few hundred meters away.

It's typical of the region, and therefore by no means unusual, that even a Catholic church in a larger city presents itself in perfect Rococo style. The mighty ceiling fresco, which begins just above the window openings, is particularly noteworthy. Otherwise, the interior of the church doesn't seem cluttered at all, leaving the mind free for reflection. Anyone who has already visited the church of the former Fürstenfeld Monastery just outside the city gates shouldn't shy away from the short walk to St. Magdalena in the city center!

The name of the route is not entirely accurate. It starts at the Puch crossroads via the B2. Then it goes through the Rothschwaige forest. It ends at the Schöngeising <-> Landsberiet state road.

"Roth" stands for clearing; "Schwaig" is an old name for a remote farm. The farm was built around 1775 and is classified as a historic monument.
