Strenuous... but somehow cool. On the steps in between, you quickly get chatting to other hikers who are gasping for air and are secretly happy that you are not the only one who is having trouble getting enough oxygen. It's a shame I don't live here, it would be a great fitness workout.

A highlight of this bridge. But also the old town of Oltern. In summer you can enjoy this view in the restaurant directly on the Aare.

A dreamlike journey through time to the place where the Aare flows backwards. You absolutely must have seen the Aarewoog. Stroll through the alleys, past the incredibly imposing buildings and let yourself be enchanted! A stop at one of the restaurants such as the venerable Bären is simply part of a tour of Aarbig, as the locals call the town.

As the name suggests... 1000 steps that you can only climb uphill. I have to admit... at level 610 I personally decided to throw in the towel before I rolled around the mountain due to lack of oxygen.
