Very nice little town center. Old buildings, beautiful square! It's just a shame that there is no traffic and no parking here - the square would be a gem like no other and would definitely be very busy.

A dreamlike journey through time to the place where the Aare flows backwards. You absolutely must have seen the Aarewoog. Stroll through the alleys, past the incredibly imposing buildings and let yourself be enchanted! A stop at one of the restaurants such as the venerable Bären is simply part of a tour of Aarbig, as the locals call the town.

Aarburg Fortress is one of the first-rate Swiss architectural monuments. The imposing complex high above the Aareknie is said to have been founded around 1123 as a Frohburg festival.
