Nice little chapel with a great view of Lake Sempach. Great starting point for walks and hikes. Nice place with seating to chill, read and enjoy the sun. There are some free parking spaces right next to the church.

Beromünster has great buildings and churches ⛪ The Hotel Hirschen is exemplary with its stepped gable and the interesting color. The collegiate church of St. Michael also emerged from an early Romanesque building, the proportions of which are still recognizable despite several renovations in the late Middle Ages and the Baroque era. The church and monastery buildings form a baroque ensemble of buildings.

Sursee is located at a geographical junction at the northwest end of Lake Sempach. The Sure (Suhre in Aargau) flows in a curved course through the town and then northwards through the Surseerwald. In Lake Sempach there is a small nature reserve (Gamma Island) located in the municipality. Sursee has a quay on the lake basin called Triechter with a view of the Alps. The rest of the lake shore is protected and is called Zellmoos. The municipality lies between the Sempachersee square, the A2 motorway, the Surseerwald (in the northwest) and the Lucerne-Olten railway line. The common land areas north of the A2 and some roads west of the railway line are the exception. Almost a fifth is covered by forest (Surseerwald) and around a third (30.8%) is used for agriculture. Almost half of the municipality is residential area (46.7%). The city is divided into the districts of Altstadt, Eisenbahn Vorstadt, Mariazell and Neufeld. Sursee borders on Geuensee, Knutwil, Mauensee, Oberkirch and Schenkon. With the communities of Oberkirch, Schenkon and Mauensee, Sursee forms a contiguous settlement area with around 19,000 inhabitants. As the main town of the Sursee district, the city still houses the district court and the government governor's office. The Roman Catholic parish and parish as well as the Protestant Reformed parish with a large district throughout the district are responsible for church and pastoral care. Over the last hundred years, a significant complex of schools and other educational institutions has been built in Sursee. It includes the upper secondary school, the vocational school center with commercial and industrial vocational schools, the cantonal school as a high school and diploma secondary school and the education and advisory center for dairy farming, home economics and agriculture, which has replaced the former agricultural school. Special schools for weaker and disabled children and young people complement the range of services on offer. In 1940, the first modern hospital was opened in Sursee, which was cantonalized and expanded in 1971/72. In recent years, the administration of the Wolhusen and Sursee hospitals has also been combined. Care for the elderly is provided by the regional nursing home and the St. Martin senior citizens' center. With around 10,000 jobs, Sursee is the region's service center.
