You scramble up — or descend, depending on which direction you tackle the trail — just enough to feel positively alpine (only by Hungarian standards of course), gaze out over the rumpled green folds of the hills, and briefly consider updating your hiking résumé to “aspiring mountaineer (beginner level, but emotionally advanced).” 🌿

A very beautiful little waterfall. Located on a circular trail.

Close to Visegrád - even a short walk away - is the Ördögmalom waterfall. It is essentially found in a small rocky gorge, with a small pond at the end. From here the Apátkúti stream continues to flow. It is worth exploring the surroundings of the stream more, because further up we can find even smaller waterfalls...

By bike, it's better to go from the top, because there's a 2m ditch at the bottom that's tricky to pass the bike over. The rest of the way is steep and beautiful.

At the entrance to the canyon, the road splits into two, going down to the right into the canyon, and going up steeply to the left, we will soon reach the huge, 20-meter-high, iconic rock wall.

The road can be slippery in winter! However, the tourist signs are clear everywhere. Several bridges lead over the Dera Stream.

The cave to the right in front of the ladder hides two smaller passages, you can safely go in. The ladder can be accessed by walking along the red sign above the gorge.

Nearby you can rent a fishing rod and catch trout in the lake.
