Beautiful hiking trail across the treeless ridge

The Stallflue is a long ridge between Hasenmatt and Wandflue with a magnificent Alpine panorama.

From the Gitziflue summit you can hike along the ridge. The view from the summit is worth the effort of the climb

The Hasenmatt, with its height of 1444 m above sea level, is the highest elevation in the canton of Solothurn. No matter what time of year, the climb is always worth it, as you are often rewarded with a fantastic panorama, a sea of fog or a wonderful view.

At this point you are at the highest point of the Stallflue. It is marked by a large cross. There is a "bench" that is just right for a biker break after a long, sweaty ascent. Here you can enjoy the phenomenal view over the entire Mittelland to the Alps. The Jura hills to the left and right are also impressive, as you are at one of the highest points in the Jura. Only the Hasenmatt is about 40 HM higher. The place is not protected from the weather, so you always have to reckon with wind. There is also a fireplace, but you have to bring your own wood, there are hardly any trees in the area.
