Check your route. We planned to do the 640-meter-elevation tour, but then wanted to drive to the starting point, but 6 km before we arrived, the road was closed. The road is closed to regular vehicles. Anyone who ignores the sign and has a 4x4/all-wheel drive would probably be able to get up the road, but with a regular car, it's out of the question. And then 5.5 hours and 640 meters of elevation gain turns into more like 7.5 hours and 840 meters of elevation gain.

Wear good shoes, the path is not too difficult, access to the starting point by road is very narrow.

The so-called Seneca Tower ("Tour de Sénèque") from the Middle Ages rises on a peak of Monte Rottu (564 m) in a wild landscape, half-ruined, and offers a wonderful view of the Italian coast.

This summit, which rises to an altitude of 958 meters, overlooks the bay of Bastia. It is the starting point for many hikes and this pass is well known to local cyclists.

Fantastic view, challenging descent

Dominating Cap Corse, Monte Stello is the second highest peak in the Cap, at 1,306 meters. Apart from its neighbour, the Cima di e Follicie (1,324m), you won't find a better vantage point to enjoy the view of Cap Corse and the Mediterranean Sea.
