A beautiful fishing pond in the middle of the forest

The Riedweiher pond is a charming little body of water where you can find a bit of nature near Mulhouse, without having to go to the slopes of Sundgau or Vosges.

This pond is located in the forest. Several marked mountain bike trails pass there. The beautiful cabin with a facade made of birch logs is open permanently. It allows you to shelter there or take the snack out of the bag. A small barbecue is present.

I haven't been here for at least 45 years. At the time there was a tavern. We could have a drink there. go pedal boating. On Sunday there were people on the terrace and children laughing. Today, even if the site remains beautiful, there is not much left of this happy place. If any members have any information, I'm interested.

Despite its transit character, it is a very nice route between Courtavon and Liebsdorf. Past the Etang of Courtavon and up through the forest and otherwise a lot of nature to the left and right of the route.

This unpaved track passes through ponds and forests. It connects Hirtzbach to Fulleren. The opportunity to discover the artificial bodies of water, typical of the region.

La Belle Île pond is actually a series of ponds with wooden walkways that allow you to reach the islets. There are several marked walks to do in the area.
