聖母マリアに捧げられたこの聖域の守護聖人の名は、ロレート（LORETO）の地に由来します。ここは、フランスのピレネー山脈にあるルルド（LOURDES）やポルトガルのファティマ（FATIMA）と共に、ヨーロッパにおけるマリア信仰の大きな巡礼地の一つです。しかし、他の二つの場所とは異なり、ロレートは聖母の出現で知られるようになったわけではありません。ここでは、巡礼者に非常に具体的なものを示すことができます。それは、ナザレト（イスラエル）にある聖母マリアの生家です。聖母の（新約聖書には名前が記されていない）両親は、偽典の伝承で言及されており、聖アンナ（ANNA）と聖ヨアキム（JOACHIM）は、イエス・キリストの祖父母にあたります（聖人暦での合同の記念日は7月26日です）。 おそらく十字軍が、13世紀末に聖地のキリスト教王国の時代が終わった頃、ナザレトで崇拝されていた建物を解体し、ヨーロッパへ運んだのでしょう。しかし、この非常に現実的な仮説とは対照的に、さらに興味深い伝説があります。それによると、4人の天使がこの家を地中海を越えて移したとされています。

In the middle of nowhere you'll find this small, pretty bridge that crosses a roaring stream.

The Loreto bridge, built in 1959, has a single span of 119 meters, is about 112 meters high and is among the highest bridges in Europe. Loreto, before being the place famous for the bridge, is a beautiful village nestled on the side of a gorge with a church dedicated to the Madonna di Loreto. The bridge connects the village of Cetta and ends shortly after. The bridge is famous first as the suicide bridge and then for having long been home to one of the few authorized Red Bull locations for Bungee Jumping. After an accident here and other similar ones, the fashion has passed. As you can see from the very high parapet, the fame of the suicide bridge has returned to prominence since then.

This valley is wild and the path offers many magnificent views. Loop to do absolutely there are ruins and terraces, explaining why the path was built, and showing how life must have been difficult for the few isolated inhabitants in this valley far from everything.

Old Small bridge to cross the Carvella, surrounded by rocks with amazing movements and with turquoise water. The small ancestral winding path goes down there, really a great spot.

Intermediate hike which has the advantage of being often shaded which is appreciable in summer or in hot weather. However, beware of the dangers of falls on certain trails. be well equipped and enjoy the magnificent landscapes.

Magnificent hinterland of western Liguria. Specifically, we are in the Argentina valley a few km from Sanremo. The Argentina valley runs for 40km inland to the border with Piedmont and France. Numerous road bike and MTB itineraries make it one of the most complete valleys in Liguria from a cycling point of view.

Here is not the way steep, but it goes down steeply next to the path.
