A dam. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold as much water as I expected. Extremely windy. This area is generally extremely windy.

The Çatalca Reservoir is still an insider tip. 🤫 There isn't a complete path around it; you have to hike part of the way through the bushes if you want to do a loop. There's a village near the lake. A protected area has been set up on the slope to restore the ecosystem following a forest fire a few years ago.

A lake where there are many birds to watch. Unfortunately, that's all there is there. Not currently recommended as there is neither a viewing platform nor a walking path.

A long straight road. One observes above all flamingos. But there are no shadows. I only recommend coming by bike or car. It can get too hot to walk in the blazing sun. There is a nice cafe at the end of the street.

A cute lake, also accessible by car. You can ride a bike around it. You can have a picnic on the lawn. No sanitary facilities, no café

Crossing the wetlands that lead to the bay of Izmir, at the mouth of the Gediz river, means encountering pelicans, flamingos, herons, storks and ospreys in a maze of unpaved but well-trodden paths.

Following EV8 you will pass this wonderful bird habitat. You can see thousands of flamingos among others. I even saw some pelicans. The road is nicely paved and without any traffic.

It's a nice stopover while curving from Tire to Selçuk or on the way from İzmir to Selçuk.
