Wide view over the Uthlande of the Elbe.

This is a beautiful tour, the tour that leads through the Lindenallee and back along the Elbe.

This rest area is new to me on 8/24/24 and that's why I've included it on the Komoot route.

On June 17th, 2024, we asked a woman and her dog for directions. We wanted to know if you could cross the bridge on the Wischhafener Süderelbe by bike. But she didn't know her way around. She was probably on vacation in Krautsand. As we continued our journey, a couple came towards us on their bikes and told us that the bridge was closed. We then rode back with them. The woman with the dog on a leash was still standing on the path and we rode past her. Last of all, my wife. The dog snapped and bit my right calf. A relatively small wound became infected and we drove to the hospital in Flensburg on June 20th, 2024, where we were treated. We were advised not to continue our journey by bike. We therefore had to end our cycling trip. Perhaps someone can provide information about the dog owner or has met her. Middle-aged woman, 45 to 50 years old, long dark hair. Dog shoulder height approx. 50 cm, long, mottled black, brown, beige hair.

IF YOU CAN'T PET ANYMORE, YOU CAN SIT HERE. That is the Low German motto of this beautiful hut at the Neuendorfer Kuhle. But of course hikers can also take a break here and this hut is also ideal as a meeting point for a little chat. So we now have 2 rest huts in Neuendorf.

JOJO, LOTTI and ANNI are the names of the tree houses and stilt houses. Set in the middle of old, gnarled willows, each has its own special features.

These are relatively close to Elbdamm. They are probably huts that can be rented. Definitely looks great :)

We arrived completely soaked. After we had the bikes safely in the barn underframe, moved into the rooms and showered, we were able to hang our wet things in the boiler room to dry. Room was cozy and had everything we needed, food was great too and the host is a great guy.
