Beautiful place to settle down after a MTB or gravel tour through the plantations and rice fields around Lake Muhazi

A wonderful place a little off the main road with very good food and treehouses as accommodation. Highly recommended both as a base and as a stopover. The vegetables and meat come from the gardens and stables of the resort itself.

We hiked there in Oktober 2021. The place looks very beautyful and they seem to have some rooms there. We hiked there in the morning and thought about taking a coffee there but unfortunately they were not prepared to receive visitors at that time so it's definitely recommended to call there in advance.

Great place to spend a night when biking or hiking in the area. The host will also tell you all about the Rwanda's history as it unfolded on the surrounding hills (you need to book in advance though) Jangwe Lodge is very easy to find when going there the first time. The dirt road to the lodge starts next to the dam south of Muhanga.
