The perfect place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon with the family or watch a beautiful sunset that seems to easily last an hour or more. There are so many small beaches along the Lake Erie shoreline between Maumee Bay and Catawba Island that you won't be disappointed.

A beautiful place for families and walks, where children can play freely. You can also bring your own boat to the harbor and begin your journey on the lake.

One of the most beautiful spots along the Buffalo waterfront. The attached photos show the large marble remnants of the facade of the original M&T Bank headquarters/branch. It's a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the scenery. There's also a kayak launch and kayak rentals.

A beautiful little gem! Beautiful views, plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, a playground, informative signs, and two pairs of binoculars. I'm already looking forward to more picnics there! Beware of a wasp nest in the ground and the strong smell of dead fish among the rocks.

Google Maps shows this place closed on Sundays. The Education Center is closed but the trails are open every day.

Part of the Tifft Nature Preserve, this lake and the surrounding area can feel like you're stepping into the wilderness while still in the city. It's a great little escape and there's a good chance to spot some interesting wildlife.

Ellicott Island Park is a beautiful, small island in the Niagara River. The island has a walking path, picnic area, and benches. There is a pedestrian bridge that takes you from the mainland to the island.
