NOT an easy trail. Definitely intermediate to hard level trail. Still, Wave Cave is still a really unique spot with a large rock that resembles a wave. Me and a friend took a much needed nap under that wave before making our trek down. A must see if you are an intermediate to experienced hiker.

This trail is not that much used and I could not find my way down, but before to turn back I could visit the caves above the mountains (that can be observed from the lower trail).

The Wind Cave is a very popular sport for runners and hikes. The formation of the cave makes it look like it is a large wave. There is a good chance that you will share the space with others during your visit.

The Apache Tears Mine is a popular spot for visitors and families. The path to the area is easy, and you can extract black rocks from the cave walls. The rocks are called Apache Tears because according to legend, Apache warriors rode their horses off a cliff rather than die at the hands of the US cavalry.

The Apache Tears Mine has been called one of the most unique hikes on the planet. You have the opportunity to "mine" obsidian from the walls of cliffs and caves. The rocks are considered Apache tears in memory of the Apache members that died when the US cavalry took over the area.

The Cave in this area offers some of the most stunning views. You'll need to do a bit of scrambling to get there, but it's not too advanced, and the view is definitely worth the effort. It's a great spot to catch the sunset or appreciate the work you put into hiking there.

Wave Cave is on Arizona State Trust Land and need a permit for entry. Parking is at Carney Springs Trailhead. The trailhead is at 2,200ft, and the cave is at 3,100ft
