2月 16, 2025, Doña Casilda Iturrizar Park
The Parque de Doña Casilda is the most famous park in Bilbao. The park is also called parque Casilda Iturrizar, named after the benefactor who donated this park to Bilbao. The park was built between 1912 and 1920 in English romantic style and is an oasis of peace in the city. It is located near the Guggenheim Museum and the Maritime Museum on the Nervión River in the Indautxu district. It is a park to stroll through the 8.52 hectares via the many paths and along the decorative fountain or to watch the birds at the duck pond. Since 1940, the museum of fine arts, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, has also been located next to this park.

2月 5, 2022, Mirador al Pozo Blondín
This well gets its name from the "blondin crane" that was installed in the 30s of the 20th century to lift the ore from the bottom of the mine and which was replaced by the inclined plane whose remains are preserved next to the well.

2月 4, 2022, Parkotxa Pond
At the end of the 19th century, explosives began to be used for open-pit mining of iron ore. Due to this, in some areas the water table was reached and when this happened the water had to be pumped out in order to continue working. When the mineral exploitation was abandoned, the underground water came to the surface and wells like this one were formed, called Parkotxa or the next ones that we will see during the tour.

2月 4, 2022, Pozo Hostión
The largest of the three wells. Its name comes from a Euskaldun foreman who did not speak Spanish well and who always said "I give hostión" to threaten miners who did not work well.

Definitely worth seeing in spring: when the magnolias grandiflora bloom, it certainly looks very impressive.

1月 25, 2021, Pozo Ostión Recreation Area
A green space with picnic areas from which to access different points of view of this well. The place seems ideal for bathing, but it is strictly prohibited due to its dark waters and treacherous depths. The Hostión well is located next to La Arboleda and is the largest of the three. Its name comes from a Euskaldun foreman who did not speak Spanish well and who always said "I give hostion", to threaten miners who did not work well.
