El Cabezuelo is an agricultural mountain in the steppe hills south of the town of Valverde de Alcalá with good views of the reliefs and types of terrain in the municipality. In spring and autumn it is a good place to observe steppe birds and birds of prey, often featuring great bustards, little bustards, stone curlews, the rare black-bellied sandgrouse, Montagu's harrier, lesser kestrel and occasionally golden eagle, black vulture and red kite.

Classic ascent if you live in Alcalá de Henares or the Corredor del Henares. The incredible views, on one side the Madrid skyline and on the other side the Alcarreña countryside. If it is clear, it takes you to see the top of Pico Ocejón.

It is a small hill but with steep slopes that must be climbed and descended with great care.

The Ecce Homo descent is in poor condition. A lot washed away. Very technical. To be avoided as an intermediate cyclist or beginner…. 😀🤷🏼♂️☝️ Definitely do the climb to the top! Nice view.

The path to the bottom of the summit is narrow and complicated, you will have to get off the bike several times, to climb the last section you will have to do it on foot. It is worth it...🚵
