This Veluwe shelter is a half open hut, quite spacious and covered. Inside the hut are 2 large long tables with long benches. Good place to shelter from the rain, but also to squeeze the brakes on a nice day to make a cup of coffee or just relax. PS. obvious, but wild camping is prohibited here just like in the rest of the Dutch nature.

On this beautiful campsite there is a separate field for trekkers in the forest 👍 Here you can camp really close to nature or spend the night in a hammock.

Camping in the heart of the Veluwe, as camping is meant to be. Peace, space, hospitable and a friendly atmosphere; that is camping site Beek en Hei. The hasty life makes way for experiencing and enjoying nature and tranquility.

"And then we're already there. Beek en Hei is the name of the huge but friendly campsite on whose fairly secluded Trekkerveld we set up our tent under maple trees on their carpet of autumn leaves. The end of the day is a short walk through the darkness of the Otterlose Buurtbos and around the square; Back at the tent we can only enjoy the comfort of the furniture for a short time, then the only downpour of the trip drives us into the tent. This Schaapskooi is a renovated sheepfold in the middle of the forest. Here you can organize parties and celebrations with up to 70 people. Organized bike tours or hikes are also offered.
