Summer hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and winter hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Don't miss visiting this place full of history where you can visit the Almeida Pantheon, currently a museum that you can visit and learn about the history of the city. There you can also climb the Ménage Tower from where you can glimpse a fantastic landscape and also stroll through the beautiful castle garden. You can explore the entire historic area of the centuries-old city where you will find beautiful gardens and excellent places to eat, stay overnight and even buy regional products in local shops.

Hydration

The historic Castle of Belver (Castelo de Belver) is one of Portugal's most beautiful castles. It was built by the Order of the Hospitallers in the late 12th century early 13th century on the border between what was then Christian and Islamic Portugal - the River Tagus. The castle is on a hill on the northern bank of the river. The name comes from belo ver or "beautiful to see."

The Castle is only accessible to visit by boat

Pedestrian trail, but that can be done by bicycle (MTB recommended). In rainy weather it can be difficult to do. Depending on the degree of experience, in some small sections you may have to dismount and push the bike. Very beautiful trail, very shaded, from where you can almost always see the magnificent Almorol Castle from an elevated position. This trail is part of the Tagus Panoramic Trail, which in turn is part of the Great Tagus Route (GR12)
