Snogeholm Castle has a long history, with its origins as a medieval castle dating back to the 14th century. However, the current structure you would see today is a manor house that was built in 1816, replacing the original fortress. This architectural evolution is a key part of its story. It's located on a scenic peninsula that juts into Lake Snogeholm and is an integral part of the surrounding nature reserve.

Beautiful moated castle from the 17th century with spacious green areas and a large park. Unfortunately privately owned, but nice to look at from the M745 (Svarte - Skarby) road.

Svaneholm Castle goes back to a Renaissance building that was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is idyllically situated on Svaneholmssjö and is surrounded by a well-tended castle park. Concerts, open-air festivals and other activities are held in the park in summer. The Association for Monument Preservation and Local Lore Vemmenhög Härad operates part of the castle as a museum. In another part there is a restaurant with a great Sunday brunch. Castles usually have a lord of the manor. But not Christinehof Castle, which had an influential landlady! The Golden Baroque Palace was built in 1741 by Countess Christina Piper, one of the most successful entrepreneurs of her time. Today Christinehof is a cultural palace run by the cultural association Christina's Wänner. It offers a rich selection of narrative tours, exhibitions and lectures that focus on the creator of the castle. Christinehof is located in an eco-park with short and long hiking trails.

Svaneholm Castle was built as the successor to a castle a little away from the former location of the old castle on an island in the Swedish Gothic Renaissance style. It houses a museum and a restaurant. The collections in the Swaneholm Castle Museum, much of which is displayed on the four floors of the castle, include more than 13,000 catalogued objects, archaeological finds and more than 350,000 photo negatives.
