The descent to the Areau refuge offers superb views of the lake of the same name. As you advance, you discover the small body of water that emerges from a basin with very vertical and verdant walls. A real little hidden gem.

Access to the lake is either via the Auèdole pass or via the Campuls circus (at the end of a track) for those who wish to walk a little less.

Lake Bethmale is a pretty landscaped mountain lake, accessible by road and the GR 10.

Beautiful spot, but the steep hiking trail that starts there is a real challenge.

This pond is at the foot of the Col de la Crouzette. The setting is exceptional, so take the opportunity to take pictures!

A few steps from the Long pond, the Round pond is a little more intimate body of water, often under the shade of the mountains. But the landscape remains spectacular.

Above the lake you can also see the path to Cabane d'Espugnes. In a direct extension of the Col de la Crouzette.

This hike can also be done by "northern lights" like me. If you take your time and is reasonably sure-footed can experience here a tour with fantastic views!
