The Auberge du Moenkalb is an inn in an old forester's house, renovated with old and new materials. Family-friendly reception, terrace. Snacks and beer at any time. Simple and creative cuisine, fresh, high-quality products. Selected wine list.

The walk up is worth it. The artfully designed hut is made of long sticks. It is held together with cable ties. Not exactly environmentally friendly, but durable. Partly covered with moss and nestled against the rocks. It is accessible.

The interior is quite unevenly petrified. No problem for a rest, but not suitable for a bivouac. At most in good weather on the terrace. The street is very close.

In the ascent to the Schaentzel from the Reichenberg castle on the road to Thannenkirch via the crossroads of the Lach, you will find the Kochersberg shelter with the possibility of having a barbecue and a well-deserved rest. 😉
