No shelter? No matter, still a nice place to take a break. Away from the main paths and therefore quite quiet.

The cabin is private, I believe it belongs to the community. There is nice outdoor seating.

The barbecue hut must be rented. Simply turning up and having a barbecue is not possible.

The hut is locked. If it rains, you can take shelter and sit down.

The hut does not have a special charm. If you are surprised by rain or thunderstorms, you can seek shelter here. There is a small covered bench.

I do not understand it either. A hut with a lightning rod but no shelter in case of a thunderstorm. Who knows who did the acceptance? Maybe the same person who programs the traffic lights in Rastatt....

In 2000/2001, the municipality of Ötigheim built a forest, shelter and barbecue hut in the "Große Bahnwiese" area with active support and cooperation with the citizens of Ötigheim and the local clubs/communities. In the period from April to October, this can only be rented by the residents of Ötigheim for private celebrations and the local clubs/communities.
