The Canal des Orangers is a path that connects Sans-Soucis to the islet of Orangers along the impressive wall of the Cirque de Mafate. This path is quite dizzying but remains relatively flat and does not include any particular difficulties. It offers a unique panorama of the circus as you go deeper into it.

Superb suspended footbridge 28 meters long which overlooks the Bras d'Oussy. Inaugurated in October 2021, this footbridge makes it possible to secure a passage which has become impassable during periods of cyclones or heavy rains.

Deux Butts is on the Scout trail. It is one of the most beautiful trails on the island. It connects several islets to Salazie. This impressive passage is bordered by two precipices, the Grande Ravine on one side and the Savon ravine on the other.

The Rivière des Galets has its source at the foot of Gros Morne in the heights of the Cirque de Mafate. 35 kilometers long, it is the longest river on the island, ahead of that of Le Mât and Saint-Etienne.

Before descending to Îlet des Lataniers, it is worth making a short detour to the Ravine des Orangers. This place is not only ideal for a break, but also for a refreshing swim in one of the pools. After one of the numerous curves, the basin of the Cirque de Mafate is suddenly in front of you. The views are mesmerizing and breathtakingly beautiful. The mountains, some of which are pointed, rise in a wide variety of shades of green and gray and are traversed by steep and deep gorges. Above the river Rivière des Galets, the Canalisation des Orangers leads into the Cirque de Mafate cirque. The path that meanders along the slope never ceases to amaze with its fantastic views. Luckily, the path is easy to walk, so you can enjoy the scenic scenery with ease. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are not required on this section of the stage.
