If you stand below the large boulders, the path goes up to the left, so that you can reach the entrance of the cave via a short climb.

The official and well-marked hiking trail ends in the riverbed about 300m before La Chapelle. From there you have to explore the path through the stones and rocks on your own. You cross the river at least 4 times. Don't forget your bathing suit, in order to "go" deeper into the chapel you have to swim.

Accommodating the first residents After two temporary occupations from 1646 to 1649 and from 1654 to 1658, the final settlement of the Bourbons in Saint-Paul began in November 1663.
