La Mare à Poule d'Eau is a small, calm oasis located in the center of the Salazie cirque. It is set in a remarkable green setting. The surface of the body of water is largely covered with chouchou and casuarina trees. It is possible to fish there and go around it entirely.

Hike made today beautiful weather on the driveway, arrived at the basin unfortunately very big waterfall which sends a fine rain everywhere. Fairly muddy at the moment, back in nice rain. Lots of currents in the river. Nice outing in any case the whole family enjoyed despite the rain

Basin where you can bathe in peace, expect a bathing suit. The water can be very cold. Perfect for a break on the GR1 which surrounds the Piton des Neiges. Also accessible after a short 30 minute walk from the road leading to Ilet à Cordes.
