Beautiful view over the lake.

Lac de Clairvaux-les-Lacs is a beautiful lake nestled in the Jura mountains. It is very pretty, with crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and surrounding forests.

Around Lake Vouglans, the forest mixes with Jura geology marked by cliffs and rock. This gives rise to rock formations navigating in a universe that is both mineral and vegetal.

The La Fratte belvedere is a superb view of the cliffs overlooking the turquoise lake and the forest.

The Pyle bridge is a monumental building 385 meters long and 65 meters high above water level. It spans Lake Vouglans and connects the towns of Maisod and Orgelet. It is equipped with two sidewalks allowing pedestrians to cross it safely. And it's worth it as the view is clear. Spectacular panorama in perspective.

The La Fratte belvedere is accessible by a small path that branches off. to get closer to the cliff. The viewpoint is secured by barriers and thus allows you to enjoy the view in peace. And the panorama is really worth it: turquoise water and forest as far as the eye can see.

Lying at the foot of a beautiful mixed forest, the Etival lakes represent an important wetland for the biodiversity of the Jura massif. Isolated, and therefore little exposed to light, these lakes make an ideal observation site for watching the stars. Please note that swimming is prohibited.
