If you are looking for a peaceful and natural place to stop off during your hike, you can visit the Courpain nature reserve, a 13-hectare space located at the confluence of the Loiret and the Loire. This site is part of the Saint-Mesmin nature reserve and is home to a forest rich in 23 species of trees and 15 species of shrubs. You can enjoy the seasonal beauty of this place, such as the white carpet of snowdrops in March, the concert of birds in May, or the white rafts of water crows on the Loiret in June.

Parallel to the Loire, this beautiful pond offers beautiful views of the surrounding area including Orléans Cathedral. There is also a leisure center and a beach.

The pond is located in the park of the Château de Charbonnière. It is fed by the Ruet stream, a tributary of the Bionne. Since the Middle Ages, monks and successive owners have dug numerous bodies of water to drain the area.

The pond beach is a very pleasant place to relax. Between June and September swimming is authorized and supervised. The playgrounds are located behind the beach. The structures are diverse, and will please children of all ages.

A very nice walk to do without restriction. It is so much better to enjoy the outdoors than to shut yourself up at home
