Sallanches having been spared by the bombings, the priest kept his promise. Thus on June 14, 1944, this oratory was blessed by Mgr Auguste CE BRON, Bishop of Annecy, in the presence of several thousand people. The inhabitants had dedicated this place for a long time to the mother of Christ. it was already the setting for pilgrimages to the Black Madonna. The waterfall towards Bout de monde is magnificent and worth the detour.

The Giffre des Fonts is a tributary of the Giffre. Here you can admire the gorges it creates in the middle of the rocks, on a wooden bridge which brings even more charm to the setting.
