The spacious Habstalhütte on the edge of the forest offers good and sheltered opportunities for a rest. Around the hut there are also several other seating areas (tables and benches), a playground and barbecue areas. From up here there are great views of the village of Bahlingen, the mountain slopes of the eastern Kaiserstuhl with vineyards, orchards, groups of trees and strips of wood as well as loess walls, other places in the Breisgau and the mountains of the Upper Black Forest.

The MTB trail from the Katharinen Chapel ends here. unfortunately unofficial. So please keep an eye out and be considerate of hikers !! would be a shame if the trail is torn off!
