The main path from the tennis court up to the peak is fun in both directions. However, the back one through Son Galta is quite steep, overgrown and difficult to track. Towards the bottom, there’s a wall that needs to be crossed. If you walk straight on instead, you might get lost which happened to me the first time round and I had to go back up. I only managed the next day the other way around. In general, the path towards Son Servera is much more pleasant to take down/up but you will have to circle back around the mountain once you’ve reached the quarry. Great view and nature on top of the mountain though and clear path.

We did the route as averagely experienced hikers and found it really difficult. The ascent from the south was still quite fun, as we generally like climbing. The descent to the north, on the other hand, was very steep in places and so overgrown that we really had to "fight our way through". The path - more of a dirt track - was barely visible in places. We slipped a few times and our legs were badly scratched by the overgrowth. I would advise others to use the ascent as the way back. Hikers who came towards us did so. A great view awaits you at the top.

4月 22, 2024, Creu d'Es Picot
The 14 metre Picot Cross is another stunning viewing point which is a fifteen minute walk away. Sweeping plains, the southeast coast, the Castle of Santueri and, on a fine day, Cabrera island, are all visible from here.

An absolute highlight, even in the pouring rain.

Under no circumstances should you attempt the ascent from the south-east to the summit. Tried an available route, true to the motto: if there was already one, I can get up there. I actually had to break off on a steep wall due to lack of climbing equipment. If you prefer to stay on the officially marked paths, then you can also come up and enjoy the view. Otherwise a great mountain if you don't want it to be that high. Next time I will try the ascent from the north.

1月 22, 2023, Santuari de Bonany
At the top of Puig de Bonany, at a height of 317 meters, is located this wonderful hermitage. The first documents date from 1606, when a small oratory was built. The current temple was built between 1920 and 1925. In a historicist style with neo-Baroque roots, the hermitage has a Latin plan without side chapels and is covered with a barrel vault.

Mountain of 477 meters, located on the shores of Mount Sant Salvador, in the municipality of Felanitx. At the top is the monument of the Picot cross, 14 meters high, built in 1957. The area also acts as an excellent viewpoint of the island.

If you continue for about 1km after the cross, you will come to another vantage point

Not far from Sant Salvador. Slightly lower, but also offers a magnificent view in a slightly different direction.

At the top of the mountain, the 7m high statue of Christ stands proudly on a 37m high tower. It was donated by a wealthy Mallorcan and was inaugurated in 1934. The spacious car park offers plenty of parking.

7月 10, 2022, Christ the King Statue, Sant Salvador
A hiking trail leads to Sant Salvador, but you can also easily drive up there by car or bike. From the top you have a fantastic all-round view of the island. The coastal towns in the east can be seen very well. There are fireplaces for grilling and of course the statue of Christ.

6月 25, 2022, Creu d'Es Picot
On the Puig des Milá (478 m), which is about 250 meters before the summit plateau north of the Puig de Sant Salvador and is a little lower, stands the Creu de Picot or more precisely Creu d'Es Picot. A short narrow footpath leads up there. Es Picot is a vulgar name meaning "woodpecker".[57] The Spanish inscription reads: cermans aouests bracós semper oberts per a tothom (Always keep your arms open for the brothers, August 25, 1957). The stone cross is 14 meters high and was erected in 1957. It replaced two earlier ones that had been destroyed by weather and storms. The first wooden cross was erected towards the end of the 19th century. The second metal cross was 11 meters high and existed between 1927 and 1951.
