These buildings were built between the 19th and 20th centuries to facilitate deep-sea fishing in the lake. The Carpa d'Or fishery, with neo-oriental style, is 27 m² and dates from 1918. The architect is Jaume Casellas.

This is the only point in the entire lake of Banyoles where bathing is allowed. The prohibition of bathing in the rest of the lake is for obvious reasons of biodiversity conservation.
