This Castle corresponds to the Major Castle of Daroca, of Muslim origin and built in the 11th Century.

The rich history of Daroca, from a Celtiberian town to a Roman city, and later from an Arab enclave to an important town in the kingdom of Aragon, is manifested in the variety of monuments and historical vestiges that it preserves in its urban center. Maluenda is a small town in the province of Zaragoza on the banks of the Jiloca River.
