It is worth stopping here, right next to the track, between two trees a stone juts out that acts as a balcony towards the Fornils valley and the Susqueda marsh.

Please note that crossing the dam is not possible on foot or by bike.

Susqueda Swamp Dam with an impressive waterfall. If you go down the road from the dam it says path restricted to the pass but you can go there perfectly, there is no barrier or impediment.

You can go up to the right or to the left, but once at the top you cannot cross.

This Susqueda gravel road borders the Sau reservoir, being one of the most beautiful sections of the place. The track is wide and without any technical complications. Time to enjoy the incredible views.

The Susqueda swamp is a reservoir that belongs to the Ter river, created by a dam located in the municipality of Osor, which extends through the terms of Susqueda, Sant Hilari Sacalm and in a tiny extension in Osor, in the county of the Jungle. Along with Sau and Pasteral, it forms part of a system of three swamps that join the Osona region with that of Selva. Most of the reservoir is located in the municipality of Susqueda. It is the last and most important reservoir of the hydrographic exploitation system of the Ter (Sau-Susqueda-El Pasteral).

After taking the road climb along the Rui Ter from Anglès, you'll reach the reservoir where the way turns to gravel. This track that goes around the edge of the water is sometimes pretty rocky, and sometimes very steep! You'll ascend and descend frequently, but in general climb as you head north.
