The La Tranquera Reservoir in Nuévalos is a spectacular place to enjoy nature and panoramic views. Inaugurated in 1959, the reservoir was designed to regulate the flow of the Piedra River and ensure the water supply in the region.

Take a dip, throw a couple of stones into the water doing froggy poses and enjoy the spectacular sunset.

Located at an altitude of 817 meters, we find beautiful views of the Tranquera reservoir from Cerro de Somé. The path up to here is not marked, but it is clearly visible. Not long ago, this area was burned but it is growing and returning to normal.

If we are lucky enough to go with the reserves of the reservoir well charged with water, we will see the spectacular emerald blue color that it has.
