This is a beautiful lake nestled beneath the slopes of Blåhøa, the highest peak in the northeast of the Trollheimen range. There's a small cabin here, Kamtjønnkoia, which was built in the 1950s to support botanists studying the region's mountain flora. There's around 500 metres (1,600 ft) of ascent from here up to Blåhøa's summit, which stands proud at 1,671 metres (5,482 ft). The hike is relatively straightforward in good weather.

Langvatnet is a real highlight of any walk between Innerdalshytta and Bårdsgarden. The trail runs along its north bank and is bouldery in places. To the east of the lake, expect superb views towards Tovatna and Storlidalen

Often touted as Norway's most beautiful valley, Innderdalen is a spectacular place. This part of the valley is dominated by the towering pyramid of Innerdalstårnet, a great objective that requires scrambling. For accommodation, there's the Innerdalshytta DNT hut or the privately owned Renndølsetra.

Renndølsetra is a mountain pasture farm in an absolutely idyllic setting. There's accommodation, with evening meals for guests, while hikers not staying can also sample some local produce here too. It's a great place for a break in beautiful Innerdalen.
