The shelter is located in the Bois de Staneux, a natural forest area near Spa. It is close to the Réserve Naturelle du Chawion nature reserve. The exact location is: Coordinates: 50.50743° N, 5.85212° E Not a pleasant resting place (littered and dirty).

Nice rest area. He came a little late for us. We already had our picnic on the first bridge over the creek, since we wanted to take the first opportunity to rest after the long connecting piece coming from the other creek valley.

Beautiful newer wooden shelter built on the site of an old cottage. There is 1 table, benches and a nice fireplace where you can grill. There is also an outdoor grill. The name of this hut refers to the search for gold nuggets practiced in this small valley in pre-Roman times and then from the 19th to the early 20th centuries.
