A small waterfall surrounded by greenery, it can be glimpsed thanks to a small detour from the main trail. To admire it fully, you have to walk along the edge of the small lake that has formed below the waterfall, weaving through the brambles, and then walk on some rocks placed opposite the waterfall so you can see it in full. A nice spot for those who want to try something more. If you have high, waterproof boots, I think you can easily walk along the edge of the lake without having to weave through the brambles.

Beautiful waterfall hidden in the woods

The Pisciatore Waterfalls are an enchanting place in the Sibillini Mountains National Park, reachable with an easy and shaded walk of about 6 km from Castelsantangelo sul Nera. They are located in the Vallinfante woods and have a height of approximately 20 meters divided into two jumps.

The Callarelle waterfall, fed by the Ussita torrent (a tributary of the Nera river), is a beautiful and large waterfall, with a large flow of water.

Here the ancient church of Santa Maria Assunta (Gothic style built in the 14th century and restored in 1915) is remarkable. The church was the center of worship for 22 chapels and churches in the area. The church is currently unusable after the earthquake that hit the Umbria-Marche area in 1997.

Reachable by going up the stream, waterproof boots and possibly trekking poles are therefore required. The use of a helmet is also recommended.
