Nestled between the woods and the Grappuda and Caruso mountains, Palizzi is a small village located along the river of the same name. Palizzi is a classic village of Greek origin with a castle located on a cliff, a historic center from the Middle Ages and a fourteenth-century bridge called 'dello schiccio' under which the fumara di Palizzi flows.

Bova is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and the 'capital' of Greek Calabria. It is located at about 800m above sea level and has a very ancient history. Its origins go back to the Neolithic, and are testified by the archaeological finds found at the Norman Castle which is located at the top of the town.
