To reach the oasis entering from the sanatorium I noticed a lot of debris so once at the oasis I found both wheels flat.

The lake is beautiful but the path is off limits to bikes.

Wonderful natural oasis. It is a marshy area, rich in river vegetation and very rich in fauna, ranging from amphibians, to dragonflies to grebes, herons, woodpeckers etc. Unfortunately, the Louisiana red crayfish is also present, which as the name suggests is an invasive species. Lake Sartirana is between the Adda Nord Regional Park and the Montevecchia and Valle di Curone Regional Park, in the municipality of Merate. It is a basin of morainic origin and since 1983 it has been a "Natural Reserve of the Lombardy Region".
