Nice route, the climb from Castel San Pietro towards Alpe di Caivano is steep, on a cobbled road with bumpy sections, difficult without an EMTB. The descent is steep and could be risky due to the potholes. From Alpe di Caivano it is better to go through Generoso to Osteria La Peonia and then go down to Mendrisio.

Cassina is located at 900 meters above sea level, on the southern slope of San Giorgio. The small church of Sant'Uberto and the shelter of the Adenofora society are the only buildings that discreetly fit into a beautiful and large clearing

Alpe Caviano is located at an altitude of 970 metres, here you have a wonderful view of all the most important massifs of the Alps as well as of the entire Mendrisiotto area and the surrounding mountains.

Monte San Giorgio is a wonderful 1097 m peak located in the Mendrisiotto area. From the top you can perfectly observe the entire Ceresio area and the city of Lugano, a true marvel.

On Monte San Giorgio you will find yourself in a bivouac where you can stay sheltered, there are drinks and water inside the bivouac, which are not free! There is a box where you can leave money for what you take.
