Just exploring new places on this route. I would suggest taking it counter-clockwise as the way I did it was way more difficult. The weather was terrible, and the climbing around Palazzo del Pero was prohibitive as the mountainside is a big (wet and slick) rock. Lots of walking. The side toward Castiglion Fiorentino and just after passing over the state road into the Passo Dogana area is beautiful. After that, all I saw was fog.. Careful on those rocks. Also recommend tubeless with higher pressure. The rocks in this area break off and are sharp. Otherwise you'll pinch-flat real quick.

This beautiful ride is ideal for those who love enduro/all mountain, but also for e-bikers as long as they are familiar with challenging descents. leaves and arrives in Rigutino. The climbs are made on paved road at least for the most part except for the last part to get to the summit of the mountain where a truly "hard" last km awaits you, but the panorama that awaits you pays off the climb. In the loop there are three beautiful descents with different characteristics, in total there are about 10km of descent! The Lignano trails are controlled and maintained, but "wild". So don't expect brushed and polished trails. Along the way you will find water and refreshments, such as the Rigutinelli restaurant/bar or the famous Gragnone box office.

The view from the top of Mount Lignano is fabulous, at 360 * the very close Arezzo to the north, and the enchanting Lake Trasimeno to the south 😍
