The Val Grande Park is simply impressive

The Val Grande is a veritable network of valleys and canyons. Wherever you are on the trails of these mountains, there is always a new perspective from which to admire the Alps. Here is a perfect example!

The famous "Roman Bridge", beautiful to see in spring, when the waters of the river form fascinating waterfalls.

a wow effect at its best - great gorge of the San Bernardino, unfortunately the Ponte Romana bridge can hardly be seen from the side, but the view down into the water - wow!

Enchanted place, to go especially after a few rainy days, when the side waterfalls are filled with water. Simple path, to be carried out even with a simple pair of sneakers, without any particular equipment.

I wanted to cross the bridge from Cossogno on 7.8.19, but it was closed due to construction. How long was not noted. As an alternative, I'm off the beaten path slightly north of the next opportunity left into the gorge purely. The path is not listed on the Komoot map. There you get directly to the weir (see small reservoir with building on the map), which can be safely crossed under good conditions. On the other side, a path leads along the pipeline up to the road to Rovegro.
