On the road between Cannobio and Malesco, a high bridge over the Cannobino stream is very fascinating and serves as a panoramic point on the ravine below. The Cannobino is a river that flows entirely in the province of Verbania-Cusio-Ossola, flowing into Lake Maggiore after a course of 25 kilometers.

The Orrido di Sant'Anna is a deep gorge carved out by the Cannobino torrent, not far from Cannobio. With its sheer rock walls and crystal-clear waters, it is an ideal destination on hot summer days, when many visitors stop to swim or explore the scenic paths that run alongside it. Nearby is a small church dedicated to Sant'Anna, dating back to the 17th century.

The Cannobina valley starts from Cannobio, on Lake Maggiore, and ends on the Scopello pass. The road that passes through the Cannobina valley has little traffic and is very pleasant to travel on, as it is often shaded. This valley was the scene of partisan battles in 1944.
